Courses & Webinars
Being in alignment and rhythm (with ourselves and nature) are key elements of healthy living, resilience, and self-expression. But, what does this mean? The season changes offer a profound opportunity to tune in to our needs and to the shifts in nature that are both supporting us and asking for adaptability. In this webinar, we will explore the Science of Spring and how are invited to cultivate harmony with the season.
For over 15 years, I have been providing my patients with seasonal guidance based on integrative physiology. Sharing it with each of you in a form you can come back to over and over again is a great joy!
In this webinar, we discuss:
The role of the thyroid, liver and lungs in Spring cleaning (detox) and metabolic adaptation from a season of cold and dormancy to one of warmth and growth.
The energetics of the season as passed down from the ancient eastern medicines (Ayurveda and 5 element Chinese Medicine)
Lifestyle, nutritional, herbal and contemplative tools for alignment with the energy of Spring.
A brief meditation, opportunity for quick journaling and introspection, and a worksheet for planning your own Spring alignment path is included.
This course is great for anyone wanting to be mindful of the seasons, and give loving attention to your bodies during this transition. It is also excellent for people who experience flares of allergies, autoimmune conditions, sleep issues, anxiety, inflammation or other chronic conditions in the Spring. Often these flare due to an over-active or under-active adaptation response or blocked ability to do the Spring cleaning. With lifestyle, nutritional and herbal organ support, we can move through the season with greater ease.
Would you like to experience the ease of being that comes with robust, sustainable resilience?
Resilience is the capacity for continued well-being in the times of ease and in challenge. It is the process of knowing our needs and seeing, accessing and utilizing resources to sustain well-being, both individual and collective. True well-being encourages and invites the well-being of all! This is powerful medicine for ourselves and our world!
What is so exciting is that resilience can be cultivated and nourished! Nourishment is simply receiving the gifts of life. No matter where you are starting from, nourishing resilience is possible and will be of benefit to your physical, mental and emotional well-being as well as the well-being of others.
I believe and have witnessed, that when we nourish resiliency, we have greater access to our unique gifts. We have the ability to stay curious, open to possibility. We have more flexible responses physically, mentally and emotionally. We are less contracted or reactive, and more able to respond creatively to the challenges we face and to the invitations from life we receive.
There are many ways to cultivate resilience, and one of the most fun and powerful, I believe, is through beauty. It doesn’t have to be hard work, but it does ask for our attention. Resilience can be cultivated through our attention to the beauty life gifts us in every moment, every day. While we are always receiving beauty, creating a practice of paying attention to that beauty is a profound journey, a journey empowered by walking it within community and with a guide.
I am honored to have guided others on this journey and so excited to offer it again to you!
I have witnessed the profound shifts in the way participants connect with themselves, with their environment, with their families, with their creative pursuits, with their work and with the places that invite them to serve and support the well-being of the world around them. In ongoing conversations with participants, the resilience cultivated through the course and the practice of attention to beauty became a habit, a habit of delight. This program is designed to offer curated, digestible, accessible weekly exercises that allow for you to explore beauty and resilience in a manner that nourishes you.
Nourishing resiliency has the potential to affect:
healthy immune responses
efficient physical healing when there has been an injury, an infection, or some other demand
improved capacity for healing trauma, processing emotional wounds, and letting go of programs which no longer serve our well-being
greater compassion for self and others
enhanced vitality and enhanced experiences of pleasure from the beauty life offers through taste, smell, touch, sight and sound.
enhanced connection to nature
improved digestion
improved sense of well-being
reduced anxiety, fear and worry
increased ability to experience and digest difficult emotions without feeling stuck
improved communication and connection with family and friends
increased capacity to listen to the needs of yourself and others
increased creativity in how to meet your needs and support others
celebration of the dignity and diversity of life
enhanced interdependent relationships for the benefit of all
I know these are big claims. I don’t make them lightly. They come from the experience of 16 years of clinical practice, working one-on-one with patients as we explore individual stories, places we feel stuck and how our bodies heal. They also come from many more years of walking my own journey of resilience building. Offering this workshop has demonstrated the poignant gifts of working in community, that walking this journey together is even more powerful.

Recorded Webinars
Dive in to the season of warmth, vigor and dynamism with the tools to support vitality! Sleep Restfully and Regeneratively, Play with Delight, Express and Create with Joy and Motivation!
Each time I share seasonal guidance based on integrative physiology and Ayurveda, I hear: WOW, how did I not know this before? It makes so much sense! This is so helpful!
Abundant solar energy fuels our cells just as it fuels growing and ripening plants. Inviting a rhythm that both harnesses the energy for dynamic expression and allows for rest and play and cooling balance is vital to thriving during this season. Harmonizing with the season also reduces the tendency toward physical, mental, and emotional states of stress.
In this webinar we discuss:
The energy of summer, the qualities of pitta (the element of fire), and how this nourishes our bodies and minds.
The Ayurvedic clock describing the times of day where the elements of fire, water, earth, air and ether are most dominant, supporting regenerative sleep, productive work, abundant creativity, and delightful inspiration when we honor the timing inherent in nature.
Foods, activities and herbs to cool the pitta energy so that we may be in harmony with the summer energy without developing or worsening inflammation, irritability, and exhaustion.
A brief meditation, opportunity to apply to the concepts to your own routine and needs, and worksheet to plan your summer alignment is included.
This course if part of a series of seasonal wellness webinars. Spring Wellness Webinar is available for purchase. Each stands alone and together are designed to be a support to you as you move through each year, honoring, celebrating and delighting in nature’s rhythms as they express in your own body, mind and expression.
Fall is a season of transition. In Ayurvedic medicine, it is a season imbued with Vata energy: windy, dry and cool after the summer months. Fall is a time of harvest, of returning to the earth, to the soil, to ourselves. It is a time to collect our energy in our roots in preparation for winter. The Fall transition begins approximately 10 days before Equinox. Join me September 7 to create your plan for Fall support and delight.
Seasonal transition invites the body to adapt at a physiological level. This impacts our bodies, minds and emotions. The Fall transition is mediated by a rise in adrenal activity to increase metabolic activity for the production of warmth needed in the winter and to transition from the months of solar energy to those months where we need to produce and utilize internal resources.
Each season this year, I am inviting you to join me for a webinar inviting skillful attunement with the seasons.
The webinar includes:
• A brief meditation to bring our awareness to our own bodies and our needs at this time
• A discussion of the physiology and energy of the season
• Tools for supporting ourselves including foods, herbs, and daily nourishing activities
You will receive a handout to support creating a plan for the season that fits with your life patterns and needs. Recipes will be included. And, the recording will be available for live attendees in gratitude for your feedback.
This course is part of a series of seasonal webinars. Recordings Spring and Summer are also available for purchase.
